We help property owners, contractors, and facility managers install new infrastructure and identify existing underground utilities before excavation and repairs..
We locate and mark detectable privately owned utilities that fall outside the scope of public utility marking. Private utility locating supplements but does not replace an Ohio 811 notification.

Before Northeastern Ohio Utilities provides assistance, the property owner or Northeastern Ohio Utilities must contact 811 to confirm the applicable utility information and locate requirements.

1. The lines are located within the public right-of-way; and
2. The lines are owned or maintained by another utility, municipality or other entity.
Northeastern Ohio Utilities does not assume responsibility for identifying all utility owners or determining the legal status, ownership or exact location of underground facilities. Work will be coordinated with the information available through the 811 process and any applicable utility owner or public-agency requirements.
